Talking About Duct Maintenance and Repairs

Hello, my name is Edward McLaughlin. I am going to use my site to talk about duct cleaning and repair. The ducts running through your home send hot or cold air to each room in an effort to control temperatures. The temperature the system strives to achieve is set at the thermostat. Without cleaning and repairing the ducts, the air will fail to flow to the proper location, keeping temperatures at improper levels. I will talk about the different tools and techniques used by HVAC contractors to maintain and fix the ducts. Please feel free to use the information on my site to keep your ductwork in perfect shape. Thanks for visiting.

Why Your HVAC System Continues To Freeze Up

HVAC services in Nashville, TN deal with a few types of service calls throughout the year. One of the more common calls deals with the HVAC system freezing up. Freezing up happens when your motor is working overtime to keep the house cooled or even heated. The coils of the system freeze over and the system stops cooling or healing. If you are experiencing this often throughout the year, here are some of the reasons it could be happening and how your HVAC service provider can help.

Ductwork Issues

You may not think about the ductwork of your home when you are having HVAC issues. There are several issues with the ductwork that can lead to your system overworking and freezing. The main issue is having a blocked area in the ductwork. This could be from dust and debris buildup in turns and corners, or it could be from a complete blocking into rooms of the home. If you have not had your ductwork cleaned recently, this could be a high-priority issue to focus on.

Filters

Filters are another leading issue to having your HVAC unit overworking itself. Much like ductwork, if the filters are clogged then air will not make it through. If the air is blocked from flowing properly, it will cause the motor of the HVAC to work overtime. If this happens for an extended period of time, the unit will freeze. If it continues to happen you may end up facing an HVAC replacement. Remember to check your filters, and if they are experiencing too much buildup, contact your HVAC service provider for assistance.

Low Components

Airflow, refrigerant, and drainage are all important to the operation of your HVAC unit. If there is low airflow your system will freeze up. If there is low refrigerant your HVAC system will freeze up. If there is low or improper drainage your HVAC will also freeze up. This means you should have a professional HVAC service check your HVAC system. They will inspect each of these areas and determine if any of them are causing the issue. If they are, you may need cleaning of the HVAC, the drainage, or a top off on the refrigerant.

If you are having these issues, and other issues with your HVAC system, contact your provider of HVAC services. They can schedule an appointment for you. When they arrive on the service call, they will inspect the HVAC system and determine what issues you are having. From that point, they will discuss with you the repairs and upgrades and get your permission to move forward.
