Talking About Duct Maintenance and Repairs

Hello, my name is Edward McLaughlin. I am going to use my site to talk about duct cleaning and repair. The ducts running through your home send hot or cold air to each room in an effort to control temperatures. The temperature the system strives to achieve is set at the thermostat. Without cleaning and repairing the ducts, the air will fail to flow to the proper location, keeping temperatures at improper levels. I will talk about the different tools and techniques used by HVAC contractors to maintain and fix the ducts. Please feel free to use the information on my site to keep your ductwork in perfect shape. Thanks for visiting.

The 4 Most Common Plumbing Problems And How To Solve Them

As a homeowner, you might not understand how your livelihood depends on the plumbing system until it develops faults. You feel irritated when you spot leaking pipes, a clogged drain, and a running toilet, among others. These plumbing problems can come in any size and intensity, and you never know the time you will encounter them. This article covers the most common residential plumbing problems and what you can do about them.

1. Leaking Pipes

Leaking pipes are some of the most widespread plumbing problems in households. Pipe leaks could damage your floors and furniture, stain the walls, and even flood your house. That's why you should handle any pipe leakage as soon as possible. High water pressure, corrosion, and broken seals are some of the major causes of leaking pipes.

Even the tiniest water drop can have a big effect on your house. Therefore, it is ideal to have regular inspections on the pipes to help you avoid pipe leak disasters.

2. Low Water Pressure

Is your water dripping out of the tap instead of spouting? A dripping tap signifies your water pressure is low. Although low water pressure is common in old houses, it is also possible in recently constructed homes. Sometimes, a break in the water main could cause low water pressure.

Also, the accumulation of sediments or minerals in the pipes and faucets leads to low water pressure. To avoid this, you can set up a filtration system that will avert the accumulation of minerals and sediments.

3. Sinks Draining Slowly

A sink that drains slowly can be pretty frustrating. Slow draining sinks are caused by objects blocking the drain. So, the first step when handling a slowly draining sink is to remove the objects inside the drain. If you can spot the clogs, you are welcome to use a pair of tweezers or pliers to pull them out. However, if the objects are a little bit further, you can use a plunger to suck the objects closer to the sink and pull them out using tweezers.

4. Trickling Faucets

Nothing irritates like the sound of trickling faucets. When you hear the trickling sound for a long time, it sticks in your head. You can keep on hearing the sound even when you aren't at home. Apart from the irritation, trickling faucets also cause an unnecessary increase in water bills. A faulty washer causes dripping faucets.

A defective washer allows tiny drops of water to leak, thus causing a trickling sound. To avoid this, you need to replace the defective washer with a new one. Additionally, trickling faucets can also occur as a result of leaking pipes.

The problems listed above are only the common ones since there are several others. Also, plumbing problems need experts. Hence, it is appropriate to hire a residential plumbing service to help you out.
